• Camera and Motion Data (Crucial): ActionLock requires access to your device's camera to count your push-ups, squats, and other exercises. We process this visual data entirely on-device using machine learning (MLKit). We do not record, save, or transmit your video feed or photos to our servers.
• App Usage and Analytics Data: To understand how users interact with ActionLock and to improve the experience, we collect anonymous usage data (e.g., screens visited, buttons clicked, crash reports) using our analytics provider, PostHog.
• Subscription and Payment Data: If you upgrade to ActionLock PRO, your payments are processed securely via Apple or Google. We use a third-party service (RevenueCat) to manage your subscription status. We do not collect or store your direct credit card information.

2. Device Permissions Required

To function properly, ActionLock will ask for the following device permissions:

• Camera: Exclusively used in real-time to detect your exercises and unlock your apps.
• Screen Time / Accessibility (Depending on OS): Required to detect when you attempt to open a restricted app and to deploy the ActionLock overlay.
• Notifications: We use local notifications to remind you of your goals, alert you when your screen time is up, and help you maintain your daily streaks.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

• To provide, operate, and maintain the ActionLock app.
• To process your exercises locally on your device and manage your unlocked screen time.
• To manage your account and PRO subscriptions.
• To analyze app usage and continuously improve our features.
• To send you technical notices, updates, security alerts, and support messages.

4. Third-Party Services We Use

We employ trusted third-party services that may collect information used to identify you or process your data securely. These include:

• Apple Authentication & Google Sign-In: For secure account creation and login.
• PostHog: For product analytics and tracking app performance.
• RevenueCat: For managing in-app purchases and subscriptions.

These third-party providers have their own privacy policies addressing how they use your data.

5. Data Storage and Security

The security of your data is important to us. ActionLock heavily relies on local, on-device storage (using technologies like MMKV and Realm) to save your exercise history, unlocked sessions, and app preferences. This means your personal focus data stays primarily on your own device.

While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect any data we do transmit (like your account details and subscription status), remember that no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

Depending on your location, you have the right to:
